Common Issues
Q1-1: Why can't I install the VGA driver to Windows 95/98?
A1-1: Before installing the VGA card driver, you must change VGA driver to [Standard PCI Graghics Adapter]. And then re-install your VGA driver again.
Q1-2: Why the system will be hang under socket 7 motherboards?
A1-2: It is a compatible issue. Actually, it is happened at all socket 7 motherboards with AGP. Please contact with your motherboard vender or the chipset vender to get this driver for Intel I740.
Q1-3: Why the monitor device will be detected by "Default Monitor"?
A1-3: Please check your monitor's specification. Some monitors connect the DDC signal to ground, Which causes the BIOS can not detect your monitor. Therefore, it will cause your Intel740 can not get any data or refresh rates. To fix the problem: You have to open (remove the jumpers) from JP5 &JP6. The default settings of JP5 & JP6 are closed.
Q1-4: Why can't I install the VGA driver on Windows 95?
A1-4: If your operating system isn't the OSR2.1 version, the driver won't install. Please make sure your Windows'95 is OSR2.1 or later version.
Q1-5: Why can't I install the driver on Windows NT?
A1-5: You haven't installed the SP3 or later for windows NT4.0. So the I740 does not detect it and it won't load the driver. To fix the problem: Please download the SP3 from the Microsoft's website and install it.
